I now got word that around mid February press people will get their hands on the new camera. This may be a strong evidence that the camera is indeed ready for mass production. On February 24th we shall get a FULL announcement with preorder option and shipment starting within 1-2 months.

OM Digital posted this image at Fotopus.com. It makes it clear they will unveil the new “wow” camera on the press event scheduled from 9:50 to 12:00 on Thursday, February 24th!
The question now is if this will be a full release or more of a teaser with a later launch in Spring-Summer. The issue being the worldwide chip shortage :(

Chinese outlets claim the “Panasonic GH6 will be tested during the Beijing Winter Olympics” which will open on February 4th.

This doens’t come as a surprise and it likely has to do with the global chip shortage. It’s months I tell you the GH6 is coming in early 2022…

As you know Panasonic Japan announced it will celebrate the 20th anniversary on October 27th. I now got an additional hint that might confirm that there will be some GH6 news on that day. A source told me that the GH6 will start shipping out in Q1 2022.
So we might are getting close to the final unveilment :)
