And here are two more pics of the EP5! As you see there will be a new external VF-4 viewfinder which we have been told is made by Epson and has a 2,3 Million dot resolution.

The following picture has been leaked for a short time by a websites and a reader was able to grab it. I am not linking to the website in the hope I can find more pics.
As you see there are plenty of differences compared ot the E-P3 pics you can see here below:

Let me know what you think about the new control layout!
As a reminder: The E-P5 is going to be announced around May 9/10. It will feature the same 16 megapixel [shoplink 29074]Olympus E-M5[/shoplink] sensor and same imaging processor engine. Autofocus will be improved over the OMD, it will also have focus peaking but it will not be weather sealed.
P.S.: The E-P3 with kit lens sells for $379 only at Amazon (Click here) and Adorama (Click here).
And here is the pic from the front of the E-P5 (already posted last week).

The currently unavailable 12mm Black edition.
According to one trusted source the 17mm, the 45mm and the 75mm Olympus price lens will come in Black. He has no info yet if the Black version will be sold as limited edition (And Extra $$$) like the 12mm Black edition. Curious, that edition has been discontinued and is no more available neither at Amazon nor at BHphoto. I think Oly has learned the lesson and they will give us all primes in Black without making us pay an extra $$$ for it.
And US readers (unlike we poor Europeans) can enjoy some great price drops on theses prime lenses along some brand new PEN/OMD price drop. They pay $39 only for the Olympus 45mm f/1.8 (Click here), $449 for the new 17mm f/1.8 lens (Click here) and %699 for the 12mm lens (Click here). That’s the price we hopefully see on the new Black edition!

According to multiple trusted sources the upcoming new Olympus E-P5 will be the first Olympus camera having “Focus peaking” function. That is something we just got on the just announced Panasonic G6.
P.S.: It seems highly unlikely that Focus Peaking will be added on current cameras like the [shoplink 33624]GH3[/shoplink] and [shoplink 29074]E-M5[/shoplink]!

A trusted source told me that the E-P5 image I posted yesterday is definitely real. He confirmed that the E-P5 has the same image quality of the E-M5 because it uses the same sensor and same True Pic engine. But he also told me the E-P5 has a faster AF and better 5 axis stabilization system than the current [shoplink 29074]Olympus E-M5[/shoplink]. The new VF-4 external viewfinder will be announced the same day of the E-P5 and has 2,36 Million dot (it’s from Epson). The E-P5 also has built-in WiFi, something the E-M5 has not.

Yesterday we had the Panasonic announcement day. But there is no time for rest now. The next announcement is coming around May 9th by Olympus. And there will be certainly the new E-P5, almost certainly a new E-Pl6 and certainly no new MFT lens. As I told you before, expect no built-in EVF, and uses the same [shoplink 29074]E-M5 16 megapixel sensor[/shoplink]. On top you can see the first image of the new E-P5 which takes some inspiration from the [shoplink 37006]traditional PEN-F style (here on eBay)[/shoplink]. It has a more “classic” look compared to previous PEN models. As you see the standard kit lens will be the new [shoplink 34914]17mm f/1.8 lens[/shoplink] (and there is a 14-42mm kit option too). AF speed has been improved even over the best in it’s class, the [shoplink 29074]Olympus E-M5[/shoplink]. There is a new external EVF too.
Stay tuned on 43rumors!
