Panasonic GH3 Video, MOV, 25fps, 72Mbps ALL-I from photographyblog on Vimeo.

Photographyblog (Click here) posted a set of videos on his website. One of them I embedded here on top of this post.

Techradar also posted a first preview of the GH3 and writes: “With all this goodness stuffed into a weatherproofed body that’s still smaller and lighter than most pro-level SLRs, Nikon and Canon should be watching their backs, through we’re sparing our full verdict till the final review.”

Finally you can see plenty of image samples taken with the strangest of all Micro Four Thirds lenses…the Olympus body cap lens.

Pekka Potka just posted the first B&W pictures of his dog and writes: “Aperture f/8 is far too dim to be usable (without flash) casually in a traditional P&S style whenever, if you expect normally sharp images. You really have to set your eye and mind to f/8 and work with the consequensies of it, namely blur.”

Also Peter Norman (via mu43) posted a set of image samples on Flickr. This time in color!

Panasonic is now sending the GH3 cameras to bloggers for testing (not with me of course..LOL). Within the last 24 hours FourThirdsUser (Click here), Pocket Lint (Click here), Photographyblog (Click here) and ePhotozine (Click here) posted new GH3 image samples. There are no RAW files available yet. As I said before I suspect the GH3 quality is more or less on par with the E-M5. Same sensor I guess…

If you are going to buy the new [shoplink 33622]E-PL5[/shoplink] or [shoplink 33620]E-PM2[/shoplink] than you will be happy to have this, the new Olympus image share App. It’s now available for free on iTunes (Click here). By the way the E-PM2 shipment should start this week according to BHphoto and the E-PL5 should ship on October 23th (again BHphoto).

And there is also a new shipment info about the Panasonic 35-100mm X lens. Panacam will ship the lens from October 31th through Amazon (Click here). Panacam is a Hong Kong reseller that proved to have a good and reliable service.

Months ago I already published rumors about a possible GX1 successor coming after Photokina. Now rumors are getting stronger. According to multiple anonymous sources a Panasonic announcement is scheduled for the first half of November. One of the sources said that the GX2 has some “major differences” from the current GX1 and has “the same [shoplink 33624]PGH3[/shoplink] sensor“. The current GX1 got multiple price drops during the last weeks. The GX1 with kit lens (Click here) costs less than the “supposed to be cheaper” GF5 with same lens! I am still not sure if the camera will have a built-in viewfinder liek the [shoplink 23692 ebay]DMC-L1(Click here)[/shoplink] or not.

P.S.: I also heard that there will be no new lens announced along the GX2.

Not only the E-M5 sensor but also the EVF is very good according to LL.

Let’s start the week by pointing out an error: Got many emails from readers because Luminus Landscape wrote that they tested an “Olympus X-E1“. Actually the camera they are talking about is the [shoplink 34075 ebay]Fuji X-E1[/shoplink] :)

There is one small interesting info within that article that reviews the new A99 FF camera. They write that “in the EVF category we thought that the Olympus was superior in terms of clarity and refresh rate“. So it’s superior to the $2800 new Sony A99 Full Frame viewfinder. This is just to say that resolution (where the A99 is better) is not the only measure to take into the account when talking about electronic viewfinders quality.
