Kascarade – Long Kiss Goodbye – Acoustic version from kascarade on Vimeo.

P13:I’ve just finished a video with the final retail version of the SLR Magic Anamorphot with the SLR Magic 35mm T1.4 Cine Mark II, also the SLR Magic +0.33 and for some shots the +1.3 acromatic diopters were used. I’ve found the lens practical to work with on a portable rig (I’m using the Edelkrone Pocket Rig), with it being easy enough to rack focus to a sharp image.

Roy:As it is a festive time, I happened to shoot street in Kolkata (India) with my gear Olympus OMD-EM5 with M.Zuiko 45mm f/1.8 at night. I have written my experience in my blog. Here is the link for it: http://www.samudranil.in/blog/?id=71643644708

Hinting: I have just completed the quick test on leica M and screw mount lenses on the tiny GM1.  This time the post is linked to individual lens test, which was fun to do.  This is not a scientific test, just some real world samples to see how the different lenses compares.  The images are developed from RAW files, processed in lightroom and resized to 1600 pixel wide. Enjoy!

E-M1 camera of the year at Photographyblog! And one fixed and one non fixed issue report

Share

The E-M1 keeps receiving awards as best camera of the year 2013. The E-M1 has now been chosen as mirrorless camera of the year at Photographyblog too!

Some more E-M1 tests:

Can the OM-D E-M1 Replace Your DSLR for Sports Photography? (TheDigitalStory).
Sam:Not a rumor, but I’ve posted some thoughts about shooting action with the E-M1, including some photos and some criticisms regarding shooting in the “Hi” and “Lo” FPS modes that I don’t hear anyone else really grumbling about – an area of improvement I think Oly needs to work on. http://www.flickr.com/groups/om-d_user/discuss/72157639712733065/

Not everything about the E-M1 is perfect:
There is one unsolved issue: Phase detect AF strips showing up in Olympus E-M1 video (EosHD).
And one solved: Tim told me that “a good number of us with E-M1’s had a pink color shift in the Apple RAW processor. It’s now been fixed with the latest Raw update.

(FT5) New E-M10 pictures (first time pic of the back).

For the first time we can see a picture form the back of the camera (well not all the back). And this is an image from the top and again from the front:

This is a nice looking camera with nice specs (too bad it doesn’t have the 5 axis IBIS). Now let’s hope Olympus will have mercy with the pricing in Europe and US :)
