A 43rumors called them and CamerLand said that these lenses are brand new but are marked as “demo” to be able to sell them for $100 less than the normal Amazon price :)

Another trusted source sent me a message with some more bits about the GF6:

1) He confirms it uses the same GX1 16 Megspixel sensor but the image quality is a tiny bit better because of the new more powerful imaging processor
2) The GF6 has an articulated screen just as the [shoplink 37637 ebay]NEX5R (here on eBay)[/shoplink] so it can flip over the top of the camera (and it makes the GF6 thicker than the GF5)
3) There is a mode dial
4) There is a zoom leveller close to the shutter button like on the new [shoplink 37639 ebay]NEX-3n (here on eBay)[/shoplink]

yesterday and anonympous source also said that the GX line is not discontinued. I am working on that rumor with trusted sources and will publish more about the GX future soon!

The popular Canadian CameraStore had only one big issue. They didn’t sell Olympus cameras…until now! To celebrate the coming back from Olympus they made this funny video. I hope we will never see any babies coming out of this new lovely partnership :)

GH3 in Stock at Adorama!

For non US readers this will be surprising but the GH3 is only now in Stock in US thanks to Adorama (Click here). Once again we saw that Panasonic has to workout a solution to deliver the camera in time on the US market. Adorama also sells some special kits on eBay (via Slidoo).

(FT4) New Panasonic GF6 replaces both, the GF5 and GX1? With 16 megapixel GX1 sensor.

According to one of the sources that saw the new Panasonic GF6 the camera uses the same 16 Megapixel sensor from the GX1. He also told me that he had the impression the camera may replaces both, the Panasonic GF5 and the GX1 compact models. That because the size and body quality has been improved and sits right in between the GF5 and GX1.

It may be that Panasonic decided to change the GX line dramatically…or even drop it?

E-M5:
The US Olympus store offers refurbished E-M5 cameras for $759 (Click here). That is he lowest price you can pay for an E-M5 with full guarantee. And in Germany the price for the E-M5 is now officially 899 Euro at Amazon Germany and Technikdirekt.

GH3:
The GH3 is still out of Stock in US or in Stock only if you pay some huge extra $$$ via third party resellers at Amazon US (Click here). The story is completely different in Europe where the price even lowered down form the original 1199 Euro. You can find the body now for 1035 in Germany (see Idealo.de). Yep, Panasonic has still a problem with proper delivery in US :(

According to multiple sources Panasonic will have an announcement next week on Tuesday April 9th at around 6-7 am London time. Be sure to be on 43rumors by that hour to follow the announcement with all news and reviews.

Panasonic will launch two new MFT cameras, the Panasonic GF6 and the Panasonic G6. Both cameras will not use any new kind of sensor (they will use sensors already seen in other Panasonic models). But all the rest will be improved like AF speed and Image processor power. And both will have a more high end look and feeling.
