Blackmagic Cinema Camera Price Reduction.

Share

Blackmagic reduced the price of the Cinema Camera. it now costs $1999 instead of $2999. You can grab it for that price at BHphoto (Click here) and Adorama (Click here). Here is the official Press text:

We have worked very hard over the last year to be able to build the Blackmagic Cinema Camera at a lower cost so we can reduce the price and allow access to digital filming to a wide range of cinematographers and photographers.
We have done it and from today the Blackmagic Cinema Camera EF and MFT models will be reduced in price to US$1,995. This is very exciting and is one of the proudest moments of my life to be able to do this!
I think people will be able to use the savings to invest in some exciting lenses and rigs to really boost the creative possibilities. The Blackmagic Cinema Camera is a fantastic design that’s now well proven. The advantage of the 2.5K sensor is it has enough resolution to eliminate the bayer resolution loss of a HD sensor, but when shooting RAW it produces files that are too not to big to store and work with easily. It’s a fantastic solution.
All orders placed that have not yet been filled, can be reduced to the new lower price.

(FT5) High End OMD is coming!!!

Share

Finally an FT5 rumor about the new Olympus OMD camera! To be honest the latest 48hours I got around five OMD rumors from five different sources! I am now working out the specs and trying to triple check them before to post them on 43rumors. But all I can say for sure now is that a High End OMD camera will be announced. It will NOT be a replacement of the current [shoplink 29074]Olympus E-M5[/shoplink]. It is a high specs and more expensive camera!

I Thank all sources for their help! If they can, they may send me some more info about the new Olympus lens too? Thanks You!

DxOmark selects the best MFT prime and zoom lenses.

Share

Short break from GX7 news:

DxOmark (Click here) posted the table of the best prime and zoom lenses for the MFT system. As usual takes these kind of tests with a grain of salt. There are different ways of doing tests and as we have seen from the past conclusions do change from reviewer to reviewer. That said results are not really a surprise for anyone here :)
