(FT5) New E-M1 image leaks!!!

Something weird is going on. Some anonymous people keeps leaking images of the new Olympus camera by adding an offensive anti japanese text and send them to all rumor sites. I really don’t know who and why these guys are doing that.

UPDATE: our reader Paniko did the long job to remove all offensive text from the images. So here are the images (obviously you see the part that has been removed). Thanks Paniko!

I have a small good news from a trusted source. The new Panasonic-Leica 42,5 f/1.2 Nocticron will already ship in December 2013. The official price will be announced soon. The 150mm f/2.8 will ship in Q1 2014 as scheduled.

Finally! It is “rumored” that Metabones is about to launch the OM to MFT Speed Booster adapter on September 15. Many 43rumors readers own these lenses and finally we can sue their full potential! Really a great news for me too…I do own many OM lenses :)

Digicameinfo shared the image of an invitation sent by Olympus Taiwan. It confirms that the new E-M1 and 12-40mm lens will be announced at 14:00 (2pm) Taipei time on September 10. To make it easy for you these are the other time zones for major cities:

22:00 (10pm) September 9 in Los Angeles
1:00 (1am) September 10 in New York time
7:00 September 10 in London time
8:00 September 10 in Berlin time

I got some more tidbits from my sources:

1) While not official the E-M1 body price should be $1,500. There will be also two kit version with 12-40mm or 12-50mm lens.

2) It has no Anti Aliasing filter

3) True Pic VII processor improves video quality like moire reduction.

4) has mic Input, single SD card slot.

5) New Environmental Sensing System will adjust VF brightness automatically, according to scene.

6) The sources confirmed that FT lenses focus as fast as MFT lenses

7) The 12-40mm lens has a snap-manual ring – just like the 12 and 17mm!

8) The 12-40mm is the first lens of the new PRO lens line

The camera and lens will be announced on September 10 at 5-6 am London time!
