Rumor: Neewer will be releasing a version of their GN40 flash for micro 4/3 very soon (and a Profoto rumor)

I just got this from a source (Thanks!):

Neewer will be releasing a version of their GN40 flash for micro 4/3 very soon. They stated that it should come out within a month. Very similar specs as the Nissin i40, but at sub-$100 price.

And another source told me this:

Olympus and Profoto are launching a global project to celebrate something “Cool”. The celebration project will be global and is comming VERY soon.

Panasonic teases the launch of a new Compact Cinema camera

The Panasonic NAB press conference is over and as expected there was no new MFT related announcement. The only real “mystery” is that teaser of a new Compact Cinema Camera. It’s unclear from the pictures what mount it has. But it shouldn’t be MFT because there is a Sigma ART lens on it without an adapter. Is this the long-awaited AF100 successor but without MFT mount? :(

The only thing we know about it are these few lines:

We will know more about it on June 1 at the Cine Gear Expo.

Reminder: Panasonic and Blackmagic will announce new products at NAB!

Quick reminder:

  1. Panasonic will have a press conference on Sunday at 2pm Las Vegas time. I haven’t heard of any new MFT mount camera to be announced on that event. But we can expect Panasonic to announce new camcorders
  2. Blackmagic will announce new products on Monday. Still not sure if there will be a new BlackMagic MFT Pocket Cinema Camera.
