As you may remember a month ago I got that rumor about a new Blackmagic Pocket MFT Camera saying this:
M43 mount. 4K, same or almost the same size, better battery life, H265 possible. Might see it at NAB although will not ship then (lol – Blackmagic shipping on time).
The rumor is from a new source and so far I wasn’t able to confirm it via other sources. The NAB show is opening on April 22, let’s hope on that day the rumor will turn out to be correct!
Panasonic will announce new products in April. Easy to guess that these will be related to the upcoming NAB show. This means expect new camcorders. I have no info yet about a sort of GH5 specced MFT mount camcorder. Would be nice :)
SonyAlphaRumors reports about a new fisheye lens that will be available in MFT mount version too. They got a message saying this:

The length is only 6mm. On APS-C it’s a 180 diagonal fisheye. The aperture is F8 and you cannot stop down. The minimum working distance is only 1 cm. It contains 1 AA glass. The corner sharpness wouldn’t be worse than the other fisheye lenses on the market (at least he said so). They have finished the first prototype. Several samples are included in the thread. The price is 299 CNY = 43.44 USD. They’ll start a fund raising program from March on the Chinese website JD.com (kind of like Amazon). The early bird price is 249 CNY = 36.18 USD. The product is planned to be shipped from June. But I guess they don’t have any plan for oversea market yet.

And tomorrow (March2) Blackmagic will live stream a new camera announcement. But it’s unclear if the camera will be announced tomorrow or at the NAB show in April.
UPDATE: The live stream is over. Black magic did not announce a new MFT camera today. But as our source said yesterday a new MFT camera could be announced at the NAB show in April.

On Thursday the CP+ shows will open its doors ion Yokohama. There is not much news to expect from Panasonic-Olympus. We will probably get some updated info on the future lenses.
Also Kowa and maybe some other companies will announce new MFT lenses or accessories.
