300mm f/4.0
400mm f/5.6
17mm f/1.2

I just spotted a brand new published Olympus patent. It describes a 12-35mm f/1.8-2.4 (24-70mm  f/4.0-5.6 FF equivalent) MFT lens. The main characteristic of that lens is that it is collapsible. The patent mentions that this lens can be used for both fixed lens and system camera versions.

It will have pretty much the size of the current [shoplink 58222 ebay]9-18mm lens[/shoplink].

E-M1II vs E-M10II at CameraSize

This is not an info via our usual sources. But afirst time source confirmed the E-M10II will be announced this summer. He also added it has a 20Mps ensor and 4K video. Probably no new lens will be announced along the new camera.

Meyer Optik Goerlitz teased the launch of a new lens that is expected to be available in all different mounts. They will finance the project as usual through Kickstarter.

In a few hours Panasonic will announce the new Compact Cinema Camera. It will be 1am in the morning here in Europe and I am not going to cover this (I prefer to sleep to fit for hiking tomorrow).

The new Olympus E-M10 mark III is rumored to be announced sometimes in July. I have no specs yet other than the fact that it will have 4K video. I have not heard of any new lens to be announced at the same event…

The Micro Four Thirds is now a mature and well established system. And as we reported lately the Four Thirds system is officially out of production. I am wondering if Olympus should just stick to the MFT system or try to make a step into “something” new. I am now asking you this…
