Full Gh3 review at ePhotozine.

ePhotozine finally posted their full GH3 review. The conclusion in short: “Image quality is very good with better noise performance than any other Panasonic Micro Four Thirds cameras, with detail visible in photos taken at ISO settings as high as ISO6400. Focus speed, shutter response and shot to shot times are all excellent, and the camera shoots at 6fps in continuous shooting mode, although it’s a shame it’s not as quick as the OM-D E-M5 and Sony NEX-7.” The camera gets 4.5 of the maximum 5 available points. It doesn’t get the full score because the reviewer said that it “feels a little expensive

Trustedreviews about the GH3: “Nikon and Canon should be watching their backs”

Panasonic Lumix GH3 Menu Walkthrough Video

GH3:
Also Trustedreviews posted a new GH3 preview and writes that: “The only DSLRs that come close to offering the video features and quality it offers cost significantly more. With all this goodness stuffed into a weatherproofed body that’s still smaller and lighter than most pro-level SLRs, Nikon and Canon should be watching their backs – though we’re sparing our final verdict till the full review.
We will soon see if that is an overstatement or not but one thing is sure. Nikon and Canon aren’t’ taking the new mirrorless market very seriously. And it will be hard for them to catch up with the MFT-NEX and Fuji X system.

E-PL5
Meantime the press keeps talking about the Micro Four Thirds system. The largest European weekly magazine just praised the new Olympus E-PL5. Read the article from Der Spiegel (translation here). They write: “The e-PL5 is one of the best compact mirrorless cameras. The picture quality is impressive and focus extremely fast and reliable”. I am a daily Der Spiegel reader and I know they do not often use such words for their reviews!
One more little news: Olympus Japan issued a statement to say that the E-PM2 will ship from October 26th. The E-PL5 is already shipping via Digitalrev (worlwide shipment) and [shoplink 33622]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink].

Panasonic LX7 gets Dpreviewed (and Gariz case)

[shoplink 34270 ebay]

[/shoplink] Let’s make a short break from (m-)43 related news. Dpreview (Click here) posted the full Panasonic LX7 compact camera review: “There’s very little to dislike about the LX7, with my main issues being redeye, slow buffer flush times when shooting RAW images, and vertical lines in panoramas. Aside from that, the LX7 is a first-rate camera that I can highly recommend.
The second LX7 related news is that the Gariz case is now available on [shoplink 34270 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink].
