Black and Silver Panasonic GH2 in Stock at Adorama (+ Panasonic bad financial results)

Share

Five months (!) after the GH2 announcement Adorama is having the Black Panasonic GH2 in Stock (Click here). Also the Silver Panasonic GH2 (Click here) is in Stock. Also Amazon will soon have the Silver GH2 in Stock (Click here).

The five months delay may explains why Panasonics digital camera sales have fallen across all three fiscal quarters by 8.6% over the previous year (Source: Photoscala). We not only need good cameras, we also need to buy them within a reasonable time frame!

Pentax doesn’t want to compete against m43 :)

[shoplink 18968 ebay][/shoplink]

Pictured above: The [shoplink 18968 ebay]Pentax Auto 110[/shoplink] analogue camera.

We just published a few details on MirrorlessRumors.com about the ucoming Pentax mirrorless system. The huge suprise is that it will use a 5.6 crop sensor taht is even smaller than the one used inside the new Olympus XZ-1. So Pentax is not going to compete against the m43 system. I guess it would have been better for Pentax to join the m43 coalition!

SLRgear published their Panasonic 14mm f/2.5 test. The lens is very sharp, Chromatic Aberration is somewhat high for this lens, Vignetting and Distortion are negligible. And their conclusion is very short: “With sharp results and only slight issues with CA, Panasonic has produced a very nice walk-around lens “. Read the full review (with image samples and graphs) at SLRgear.

M43photo.blogspot compared the Panasonic 20mm with the new 14mm lens.

An FT5 rumor about Pentax coming soon at Mirrorlessrumors.com

Share

As you know a few months ago I started Mirrorlessrumors.com. I needed a place where I can “park” the rumors I do receive about our competition. I didn’t write a lot on that website but now that Nikon and Pentax are coming with their systems it will become very interesting to follow the website.

To celebrate our first Pentax rumor we created a countdown like we did in the old days of when we started 43rumors ;) In a few hours we will post a few (but surprising) info about the upcoming Pentax mirrorless cameras. Take a look here: http://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/hot-pentax-mirrorlessrumors-countdown/.

If you want to read all future rumors about all mirrorless system:

P.S.: Pentax will not join Micro Four Thirds (at leats not for now).
