Connecting dots: E-M5 price drops brings me back to a rumor….

Two months ago a new source told me that there would be a new OMD camera in very early 2013. And before the launch of that camera the E-M5 would get price drops in winter time. And as you know a couple of days ago we wrote about a (low FT2 rated) OMD camera rumor having more advanced video features.

Olympus itself said months ago that there is room for new OMD camera above and below the current E-M5. If we connect the dots…than can we really expect a new OMD camera soon?

I am so glad to finally share an European deal found by our reader Roelandt (Thanks!). AT 1pm London time the E-M5 body will get a Lightning deal at Amazon UK (Click here). I checked the Deal page of Amazon DE, but there is no E-M5 deal there.

UPDATE: There is a nice price drop in France (Thanks Lepidi). E-M5 body for 877 at Amazon France and 12-50mm kit for 1.058 (Click here).

This means that the E-M5 price may dropped world wide! Not only in USA.

Lumix GH3 vs GH2 – Continuous autofocus

43rumors readers keep sending me links to their early GH3 test videos. And of course I post them all :)

ThePhotoSoup posted a set of GH3 video test on youtube. Florian Walter shows you that there is a sort delay on the iPad Gh3 remote control (youtube). GH3 vs GH2 presentation video by Griffin Hammond (youtube). Pilpop in Berlin (vimeo). Christoph has quite many wild house-animals to show…lol (vimeo). This is probably the most…let’s say minimalistic :) GH3 video I found on vimeo.

And I didn’t get any new report about the possible production delay of the GH3 because of a viewfinder production issue. Let me know if you find some news related to this. Thanks!

43rumors reader Warren sent me this image of his broken Olympus E-P1. He wrote: “The main control wheel gave up on me, and decided I cant be asked to have it fixed as I have like 7 ep1’s, 2 epl3’s a
ep2, epl5, epm2, 2 omds and a few others kicking about, so really just decided to make an artwork!”
