Are you getting the Panasonic GH-4 at the best price? (Panasonicindex).

Gonzalo:I bought the Panasonic Leica 42.5mm f1.2 last September after some months of careful consideration, since I already had the Olympus M. Zuiko 45mm and I did not shoot with it that much, after all; however, since the Nocticron arrived, I paired it with my GH3 and it hasn’t left the camera ever since. Not only I have found a superbly built and rendering glass, but, most importantly, I have discovered the joy of a short telephoto lens for street and urban photography, which is what I usually shoot, and not as much for portraiture, as most of the people do. It’s from this perspective that I have written my impressions of the lens in my blog, where you can see plenty of images from the streets of Bangkok:

Olympus 40-150mm PRO in Stock at Amazon. MC-14 1.4X TC tested at SLRgear.

olympusPRO

After quite a long time the Olympus PRO 40-150mm lens is back in Stock at Amazon US (Click here). And SLRgear (Click here) reviewed the Olympus MC-14 1.4X M.Zuiko Digital Teleconverter and writes:

It’s also extremely small, lightweight, fully weather-sealed and doesn’t negatively impact image quality or AF speed to a significant degree. If you own or are planning to own the Olympus 40-150mm ƒ/2.8 Zuiko Pro or 300mm ƒ/4 Zuiko Pro lens, the MC-14 teleconverter is a no-brainer accessory to have in your kit.

Personal View Q/A with Panasonic.

Share

Personal View posted a short Q/A sesssion with Panasonic. Threse are some of the answers Panasonic gave:

1) It is hard to add new recording formats (ProRes or RAW) via firmware update. The capability of GH4 codec engine does not guarantee the process of those recording formats.
2) There is no way to add 4K recording on the current G6 camera.
3) About the future products: We will not focus on the premium segment only (Editor’s note: Does it mean new GF and G are coming in 2015?)
