The Russian agency pub.fsa.gov.ru registered a new Olympus lens with the code “IM014”. We know from our own sources that Olympus will announce a new 150-400mm f/4.0 lens along the E-M1X. So this should be the lens regsitered in Russia.

I just got this message from a source:

Here are the original pictures from the original source. That “source” has accidentally posted these images and since than removed them. All I can add is that those are 100% legit pictures from a pre-production model. This is what trusted sources told me.
The original “source” also mentioned theat it has a new 20MP sensor and can shoot handheld high-resolution images of over 50MP.
A reliable source told us that Panasonic plans to unveil more details about the S1-S1R in January. Maybe as early as on January 7 when Panasonic will have an official CES press conference. Still no info if preorders will open in January too.
I also have been told that we should not expect the 10-25mm f/1.7 MFT lens preorders to open in January. It’s more likelt this lens will be on market by the second half of 2019.

Artificial intelligence is quite a misused definition in these days. Everybody seems to want to use this for marketing purposes. The new Olympus E-M1X is also rumored to have “AI autofocus”. If this is pure marketing or if it’s really something groundbreaking has to be seen. A source who has seen the E-m1X told me this:
An example of what I can do: It can track and recognize helmet on the racing motorcycle.
