(FT4) UPDATED-> No Olympus MFT camera on October 31?

I constantly find people refering to the 31st of October as a possible launch date for the E-P2. Photorumors posted a teaser with the date. I do not know if Olympus will announce new products on 31st of October but our sources told us that the next Olympus MFT camera will be announced later this year (November/December) and not this Saturday. They also told us that the camera will be available in the first months of 2010.

So what will happen on October 31? No idea. Maybe new FourThirds stuff is coming? Or maybe nothing.

UPDATE:

(FT2) Few unknown sources do say the E-30 successor could be announced soon.

(FT2) The Administrator of clubsnap.com says there will be an important Olympus event on November 5 in Singapore.

Well I’ve had my GF1 for a couple of days now and love it!
My main concern was how good a quality the RAW files would be, primarily as I want this camera to replace my D700 as my travel/photojourno kit.

After posting the E-P2 chinese leak I received tons of fake E-P2 pictures like this one:

They are all handmade or photoshopped. As soon as we find a real image leak we will post it!

UPDATE: We tried to find some pictures…no way! Firefox has some problem displaying the E-P1 and E-P2 site. Try to open it with Explorer or Safari.

My question: How much time will it take until Olympus will remove the site? ;)

If you try to open the link “http://www.olympus.com.cn/issue/product_html/” you will see nothing. You can also try to change the link like  “http://www.olympus.com.cn/issue/product_html/e-p2.jpg” but there is nothing to find here.

UPDATE3: Our sources do confirm again. Do not expect the Olympus E-P2 to be announced on October 31. They will announce the camera later…

UPDATE4: The name “E-P2” suggest that the E-P2 could be very similar to the (in design and size). And it is very likely that it will have an external Viewfinder.

UPDATE5: If you search for “E-P2” inside Olympus Europe you can read the following text under one of the results: “EP-2 E-System Advantages Easy Operation Image Control Image Processing Engine Image Stabilisation Live View Reliability…”
Anyway if you click on the text it links you to eye cup :(
