Working on exciting Olympus rumors!

Dear readers!

The success of 43rumors is based on the quality and not only on the quantity of rumors. As I always told you when I receive a rumor I try to get multiple confirmations from different sources. It takes some time before I can publish a rumor. When I arrive at home I try to chat with everyone I know and my girlfriend sometimes gets frustrated when I am sitting on the couch with my laptop on the legs until very late at night. You really need to be nice with her because it’s her patience that makes it possible for me to work on 43rumors ;)

Today I will tell you what I am working on. Why? Because it is soooo exciting that I can’t stop myself from writing you!!!

In March-April I tried to understand why Olympus didn’t release the FourThirds camera we expected to be announced. I now know that Olympus has taken some drastic decisions.
And now since weeks we are receiving many many many exciting rumors! I am 99% sure that Olympus is working on a modular camera system. And this opens a whole new world of opportunities. I already received many rumors (or examples) on how such a system will work. But I still need to wait to get some more confirmation. But there will be changes, on every aspect of the camera, new lenses, new sensors, new AF.

So keep following 43rumors. You won’t be disappointed!

P.S.: Of course I am also working on new Panasonic rumors ;)

(FT5) Panasonic 8mm f/3.5 fisheye to be unveiled next week

According to many rumors we received from different sources Panasonic will launch a the new P&S camera but also the long awaited 8mm f/3.5 fisheye lens. It will be smaller than any other 8mm lens on market (smaller than the Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5Olympus 8mm f/3.5 and the Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5Sigma 8mm f/3.5).

It doesn’t come with optical image stabilizer and it can’t take filter (like the Panasonic 7-14mm).

We don’t know when the lens will be in Stock but we really hope Panasonic will not make us wait too long!

Via Photorumors:
The Panasonic FX75 will have 14MP and a Leica 24mm ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 Summicron lens with 5x optical zoom. The camera will support HD video in AVCHD Lite format. No RAW file format.

Keep following 43rumors!

(FT5) HOT! Panasonic new stuff coming soon (next week)!

We received rumors from multiple sources that Panasonic will soon announce new stuff. It is very likely that new Point and Shoot cameras (and not MicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirdsMicroFourThirds cameras) will be announced NEXT WEEK!

We hope they will also launch the long awaited 14mm f/2.5 MFT lens (but that’s only speculation).

(FT2) Olympus future modular camera with tilt-shift option?

The following rumor has been sent by a new source. I post it because I was not able to get confirmation from other sources. Maybe some of you can tell me more about it ;)

According to the new source “One module will use the space that is taken up normally with the mirror to perform tilt&shift functions with the sensor…..so in other words if you think about how tilt and shift was done with the old 5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras5×4 view cameras by moving the film plane. The only difference here would be the sensor plane would be shifted……..could be novel because rather than performing tilt and shift in the lenses it would be done with the sensor as in a view camera……this would mean you could have tilt and shift function with zoom lenses!!!
