AF Tests with the GH4 with Firmware 2.0 from Eric Cote on Vimeo.

I ran some tests with the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 open at f/2 to stress it. Well, I can’t say how it was before but I can say it is still far from perfect or even usable. It still hunts a lot and have some trouble following even when moving slowly. In 4K, it seems to hunt even more back and forth. I will still use manual focus with the focus peaking.

The 10.5mm can focus as close as 17cm. The first Nokton, the 25mm, was very soft at f/0.95 but with the following releases Voigtänder has improved the performance at the fastest aperture and the 10.5mm shows good results even at 0.95. We can detect some vignetting but it can be expected with this type of lens

ePhotozine posted that interetsing info: “If the same lens construction structure from the LX7 was used with a large 4/3 sensor, then the lens would have ended up being 2.3x bigger, however, thanks to clever engineering the LX100 lens is only slightly larger than the LX7 lens.”
