Capio Studio (video on top): “Winter Tread is a proof of concept by Capion Studio for a future short film revolving around the New England area. This piece serves as a mood and style guide to some of the artistic choices of shooting the particular story. The narrative piece will explore thematic notions of the dream world and the subconscious psyche. It is our plan to be able to utilize aerial photography to capture the scope and depth of lucid dreaming. For Winter Tread, we focused on winter as a less literal element, inferring the season as a state of being, or a hardship leading to brighter days. This element (literally and figuratively) will play a significant part in the character’s psyche, branching out with strong visual effects.”
Farrukh: “We filmed this 8 minute video of Jordan with Queen Rania, Petra, Feynan, the Dead Sea and more, using the Olympus EM1 with the 9-18mm and the 45mm f1.8. Hope your viewers enjoy it :) https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=751923388247253“
Sergey: “This is not a rumor but I’d like to share this: During shooting in some nightclub my Olympus OM-D E-M10 fell from the 4-meter high balcony onto concrete floor. The first thought that came to my mind was R.I.P. my dear Oly! The 14-42 kit lens was jammed and beyond repair BUT imagine my surprise when the body was repaired by Olympus in a couple of days – serviceman said that he only needed to re-attach the sensor/shutter assembly changing nothing! That’s what I call TOUGH!”

Sony.net listed two(!) new Four Thirds sensor that are likely going to be used by Olympus in near future. One is a 16MP Exmor sensor with 23fps. The second sensor is far more interesting and could find his way in a future E-M1II camera: It’s a 20MP Exmor sensor with 27fps and fast sub LVDS 12ch readout. There is yet no way to see if that sensor can also do 4K video…
SDX9000: “Had been itching to share some of my lessons learned for any current or future users of Panasonic GM1 / GM5 / GF7. So here are 25 min with tips & tricks.”
Ryan: “Just wanted to share my 2014 Cinematography Reel: https://vimeo.com/122789779. Most of the footage is from GH4, GH3, and the GoPro Hero 4 (with DJI Phantom).
I’ve been shooting micro four thirds since the introduction of the GH3, and it’s my system of choice for traveling gigs (professionally and personally). The gear available today, not only the micro four thirds lenses and camera’s, but also the widening range of lightweight cinematic gear, is really opening up the possibility to see new things. I’m excited by what we will see in the next few years.”
Alain: “I shot this funky live music performance with the GH3/4 and 12-35 Panny and 42.5 Nocticron this past weekend. Hope you like it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcq8gnofkrU”
Ian: “I’ve got a few videos to share, the first is filmed on the new SLR Magic 2x Anamorphot, the first one is an interview filmed using the 2x Anamorphot on a vintage Revuenon 50mm f1.4 on a Roxsen focal reducer.
