Curiosity: Olympus and Canon announced an alliance in the medical field regarding Endoscopic Ultrasound Systems (press text here). As you know Olympus still develops Hugh quality optics for endoscopes. So in a certain sense they still are developing innovative tech in a field that is closely related to Camera Optics.
