Call to all californian people. Help Ken Rockwell !

It doesn’t matter if you like him or not. No voice should be shut down!

Please read here what’s going on in California:

  • When will Rockwell post the contact info for Amazon and Adorama? Rockwell keeps crying wolf and blaming the state of California when Amazon, Adorama and others are just as culpable.

Rockwell acts as if he’s the only one effected by this law. Hardly. There are plenty of California based web sites that use affiliate programs that would be hit hard if 1) The bill passes and 2) If Amazon and others refuse to collect taxes. Both have to happen – not just the State of California passing a bill. The primary difference is that not all of the web sites run with affiliate monetization are run by such obvious shills.

Rockwell is a waste of bandwidth. It would do him well to go back to work on a real job and to support his family without begging.

That does suck… Oh well, at least it might force ol’ Kenny to get an “honest” job instead of the one he has as a b.s. artist.

But seriously, that does suck – makes sense but sucks.

  • Gabriel

Oh my god, terminator kill kenny !

  • Elliot

No one’s being “shut down.” If Ken wants to live off his website he can get alternative commission deals, or he can choose an ad network, or he can do whatever other people do in a capitalistic society — flourish or perish. The bad guy here is Amazon, not the state of California, since Amazon is helping Cali residents from paying taxes they owe (and are currently obligated to pay on their own).

If Ken can’t make a living because Amazon decides to cut its affiliate links with him, then he should do something else and keep his site as a hobby.

  • Dude, Rockwell can transfer affiliates to B&H like everyone else does.

    Problem solved.

About time sales taxes are collected from out of state purchases. Here in Virginia we are to declare them on on income tax returns.

Before someone cries foul, each one of us has programs that are near and dear to us – roads, schools, public safety, and many others that are not getting funded right now because of those that are not paying sales taxes in states that require them when purchased across state borders.

  • Ralph

Ken doesn’t want to lose Amazon because it pays higher commissions than B&H or Adorama.
