Two technical notes: Site loading issue and facebook photo sharing.

Share

Short technical note:

1) The site sometimes doesn’t load well or not at all. It’s Photokina time and therefore server has some issues :(  Please just reload the site again to see 43rumors again. Thanks!

2) Facebook mysteriously removed the possibility to share pictures on 43rumors account. I still don’t know why they did this but I will try to fix this or find another way to let readers share their pictures.

Thanks!

The GM5 is coming and the GX7 price is dropping. You can grab it for $615 at [shoplink 48179 ebay]6ave eBay (Click here)[/shoplink]. Doesn’t mean the GM5 replaces the GX7. I still hope they will make a GX8 in 2015 :)

Panasonic extended the rebates on the GH3, GX7 and G6:
$300 off on the Panasonic GH3 at Amazon (Click here), Adorama (Click here)and BHphoto (with 4% reward).

[shoplink 46868 ebay]

[/shoplink]LX100 design is very close to the glorious [shoplink 46868 ebay]Panasonic LC1 (here on eBay)[/shoplink]

While the comments about the soon to be announced GM5 are not that enthusiastic our sources share plenty of excitement about the new LX100! It’s going to become the best compact and fixed lens camera on market. And easily beats the RX100M3 because of the larger 16Mp Four Thirds multiaspect sensor, the superior lens (24-75mm f/1.7-2.8) and the superior video quality (4K). But all that isn’t going to be cheap. The camera will cost 845 Euro according to one of our sources. That’s 50 Euro more than the current [shoplink 48172 ebay]RX100M3 price (here one Bay)[/shoplink]. The LX100 is also a tiny bit larger than the RX100 but still fits in your pocket. I think this could be the perfect 24 hours camera. You can carry it easily with you and has amazing useful specs. What more camera do you need?

 LX100 specs:
– Sensor: 16MP Multi aspect Four Thirds(!). Real resolution is a bit lower.
– 24-75mm f/1.7-2.8 lens
– Built-in EVF: 2,76 milion dots, 1.39x / 0.7x magnification
– ISO 200-25600. Can be extended down to 100!
– 4K recording (with time limitation to avoid heating issue)
– exact camera size: 4.52″ x 2.6″ x 2.4″
– hot shoe

Would you consider buying a Panasonic LX100?

(FT4) Image of the 4K video setting on the E-M1!

Share

This is certainly going to be one of the weirdest rumors I have ever worked on. But here is a screenshot taken from the Olympus E-M1 menu showing the 4K video recording settings. Like I told you before many testers of the soon to be launched 2.0 firmware version have not seen that 4K feature. So the possibilities are two:

1) Olympus hiding the feature for most of them or
2) Olympus is testing that feature on a more advanced firmware to be released some time after the 2.0 version.

We will know on September 15 what’s really going on! Fingers crossed for 4k!
