Well this is exciting! Sony announced the world’s first range of global shutter sensors. This list inlcudes a new 20 Megapixel Global Shutter sensor! Damn I can see Olympus using this on their new OMD camera! Those are some incredible specs:

Description
The IMX367LLA is a diagonal 21.6 mm (Type 4 / 3) CMOS active pixel type solid-state image sensor with a square
pixel array and 19.66 M effective pixels. This chip features a global shutter with variable charge-integration time. This
chip operates with analog 3.3 V, digital 1.2 V, and interface 1.8 V triple power supply, and has low power consumption.
High sensitivity, low dark current and low PLS characteristics are achieved.

Photokina press event on September 25 for both Panasonic and Olympus

The image above you shows you at what time both companies will have their press conferences.

At 12:30 Berlin time Panasonic will disclose their full frame camera prototype. I don’t know if they will also announce some new MFT lenses
At 17:30 Berlin time Olympus will meet their press at the Perspective Playground. I d0n’t expect Olympus to announce any new camera. There is a small chance they will unveil some MFT lenses like the 12mm f/1.2 PRO.
