I think this is a great deal if you consider that the original Olympus BLN-1 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (1220mAh) costs $59 (here at Bhphoto). As usual be aware of the risk to buy from oversea stores! I will take the risk but don’t blame me if there are some problems after :)

GH2 versus E-M5 Quadrocopter comparison!

This time we have a different kind of comparison. No noise or resolution test anymore, it’s time for a Quadcopter comparison made by 4to400.com (Click here). The reviewer found that the E-M5 stabilization works great and “Although I will say that the video quality of the two is very comparable. I did like the way the video looked straight out of the EM5 a bit more then the GH2 though.” But he still misses the 1080 at 60p recording on the E-M5.

By the way the Quadcopter mania is really growing! I know of more and more people buying or building their own Quandcopter. Mysterious things are happening around Olympus. Mysterious ads, mysterious packages and mysterious nuts are floating around the world :)
Good to know that I have some good sources explaining me what’s going on! One of them just sent me the info that Olympus is sending the first batch of 75mm f/1.8 Micro Four Thirds production version lenses to photographers and journalists. I hope to learn more about the Lens price and quality within the next few weeks. Of course there is more coming from Olympus, the Tough camera, the XZ-2 and maybe “something else“. More bits about the upcoming 75mm f/1.8 lens:
The good news is that it sounds like the lens could be announced soon (maybe in June). The lens is certainly NOT weather sealed, it will have about the same image quality of the [shoplink 23577]Olympus 45mm f/1.8 price (around 400 Euro/Dollars)[/shoplink] but at a bit higher price (some rumors from external websites said around $700-$800).
If the quality is good and the price around $700 this could become a real hotseller. It gives you a focal lenght of 150mm in terms of Full Frame. If you are a Full Frame camera owner you will know that lenses like the [shoplink 30743]Canon 135mm f/2.0 (Click here)[/shoplink] and [shoplink 30744]Nikon 135mm f/2.0 (Click here)[/shoplink] and the [shoplink 30745]Sigma 150mm (Click here)[/shoplink] do cost more and are a bit slower. But I doubt the new Olympus lens will reach the quality of the superb [shoplink 30746]Olympus 150mm f/2.0 ED[/shoplink] Lens!

Third party battery works with E-M5 but can’t charge on normal Olympus charger.

It’s really disturbing to learn about that kind of limitation AFTER having purchased the battery. As soon as some of you got the batteries let us know if it really works fine. Would be useful for 43rumors readers to learn if we can trust these third party battery resellers or not! Thanks!

With Lightroom I was able to read a 12.6 EV dynamic range and with CaptureOne it was 12.0EV. At ISO 400 they both gave the same 12EV.”
Digitalcamerainfo (Click here) posted the 22 pages long E-M5 review. They also have good news about the dynamic range performance: “The sensor’s noise floor is a bit high, but the camera controls highlights well, offering dynamic range and low light shooting that can keep up with most sub-$1000 DSLRs. While the E-M5 certainly isn’t setting any new bars in a category filled with larger APS-C image sensors, it’s no longer such an issue that we’d warn you off the camera entirely”
