(FT4) New GM2 will actually replace the GX7? GM2 has on sensor stabilization.

Share

Weeks ago the Australian store Discountcameras marked the GX7 as “officially discontinued”

According to one source the soon to be announced Panasonic GM2 will actually replace the GX7. And just like the GX7 the GM2 will have a built-in EVF and on sensor stabilization! The GM2 will also likely have 4K recording too (yet not 100% confirmed).

So basically we will only have GH and Gm lines for now. Have no info yet if the GX, G and GF line will be ever updated…

Reminder: $300 off on the Panasonic GX7 at Amazon (Click here), Adorama (Click here) and BHphoto (Click here).

Olympus patent discloses that fancy 3D camera.

Share

Olympus newly published patent discloses the design of a fancy looking 3D camera. As you can see there are multiple lenses inside one lens (I don’t know how to describe this better). If you want to read all technical details about that camera download the pdf file (Click here).

I really don’t know if such a 3D camera will ever come to production. The 3D hype is over and companies seem to not really push this tech anymore. Who actually remembers that Panasonic also launched the 12,5mm 3D Micro Four Thirds lens? All forgotten now…
