Kevin Carroll: “I recently created a video of my trip to Tokyo. It was shot with a panasonic g6 and the 12-35 2.8 zoom. The g6 is a fantastic underrated camera for video. I hope the new proposed gx8 incorporates some of the neat features unique for this camera at this price point and missing from the gx7 like a headphone jack smile emoticon Kev https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A636jZ1nLNc“

Patrick Ward: “My new book, “BEING ENGLISH”, is just published….a record of the English at play over the past fifty years….and that is NOT a miss-print! Inevitably a lot of the book was recorded on that old fashioned thing called film but the better news is that much of the book was also shot on the Olympus OM1. It felt like coming home when the EM1 came out! http://www.patrickwardphoto.blogspot.com“

Jurek sent me this:
“An updated version of the SLR Magic’s 2x anamorphic adapter using the following:
SLR Magic HyperPrime CINE 25mm T0.95
LOMO OKC 11-35-1 35mm T2.2
Panasonic Leica Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2
Helios 44M-5 58mm f/2
Captured on a Panasonic GH4 in 4×3 aspect ration in the Photo/Video 4K mode at 30p, and edited in FCPX. The 25mm vignettes slightly more than what appears here but with additional cropping is an option. At close quarters it also distorts some. The best results come from using 35mm lenses and up (although a 28mm might be interesting). The Anamorphot requires care in setting up but the new adjustment mechanism makes it easier and the lock is sturdier. Not really a handheld system and best used with some support. The Nocticron was a rental and timing issues prevented more extensive testing. Apart from being an outstanding portrait lens, it seems to have delivered some interesting images here that require further exploration.”
