The US store TheGamesArena is already offering a superb deal on the [shoplink 47312 ebay]E-M1 ($999 here on eBay)[/shoplink]. But they also recently launched a $130 rebate on the E-M10 with kit lens in [shoplink 47312 ebay]Black ($665)[/shoplink] and [shoplink 47312 ebay]Silver ($675)[/shoplink].

Don’t know how they can make such good prices seen that these are real US products (no grey import) with full warranty. And they have top feedback too!

(FT3) Olympus is working on a new E-M5 successor!

Share
[shoplink 29074 ebay]

[/shoplink] Two different new sources told me that Olympus is definitely working on a new [shoplink 29074 ebay]E-M5 successor[/shoplink]. But none of them was sure if such a camera would come at photokina or (most likely) in early 2015. Both sources had no specs to share but guaranteed the info comes via their highly trustworthy Olympus contacts. I think the chance is pretty high the E-M5 successor will come in early 2015 and NOT(!) at Photokina.

It reminds a bit of mystery for me if it makes sense to release such a camera. Olympus seems to follow the PEN route by releasing many slightly different versions of the same model. So what is the new E-M5 successor going to be? It cannot be better than the [shoplink 41667 ebay]E-M1[/shoplink] (otherwise it would kill the E-M1 sales). It cannot be just a minimal E-M5 upgrade (we already have an [shoplink 47360 ebay]E-M10[/shoplink] for that). What should it be? In my opinion two OMD models are just enough. But I am a nobody, and maybe Olympus knows it better…

E-M1 at [shopcountry 41667].
E-M5 at [shopcountry 29074].
E-M10 at [shopcountry 47360].
