Dpreview tested the GH5 autofocus performance and cthe conclusion is:

Really, what Panasonic has done is proven how good a contrast-detect-only autofocus system can be, and have made a camera that is really far more well-rounded than it might seem at first glance; in other words, the GH5 isn’t just a camera for video enthusiasts. It may not attract the topmost tier of dedicated sports shooters, but on the whole, is highly capable for more casual action shooting.

So far so good!

Imaging Resource interviewed eight managers and engeneers from Panasonic. There is a lot of insight talk about the GH5. I do mention two points only:

High Demand of GH5:
“we [received] very big preorders globally and we are afraid about [supply] capacity.”

No overheating:
The GH5 uses heat-dispersing technology from the Panasonic TV. The heat comes 30% from the sensor and 70% from the processor. The previous GH4 had in-camera flash. That space is now used as a heatsink on the GH5
