Marc: “Here’s our newest installment of Advancing Your Photography: I visited Edward Weston’s house last week and had a tour of it from his grandson Kim Weston. https://youtu.be/bUAKoiRhLR8
This contains very rare information behind Weston’s iconic photographs: How long were his exposures (4-6 hours) and did he use an f/stop higher than 64? Your audience will find out about his approach to photography and composition that they can use to develop their own voice as a photographer.
We incorporated a 1948 film produced by the US Dept of Information, and photographed and Directed by Willard Van Dyke, a fellow member of Group f/64—we decided to produce our footage in black and white to pay homage to Weston’s B/W work.”
