Karsten: “we produced a new theatre trailer using Olympus E-M1 Mark II. Despite of the rumor that Olympus cams do a lot but no movies we are very glad about the results. If you don’t want colour grading or massive changings in the look you get very nice results out of cam.

– Cinema 4K
– manual mode
– 1/48 and 24 fps
– vivid, contrast -2, sharpness -2

Lenses:
– Panasonic 12-35 mm f2.8

Eric:Not sure if you are interested in linking to this video I made. I wanted to get across the message that 43rds is a preferred format for travel photography. With this gear you can take a lot in a small package. I also welcome Olympus and Panasonic shooters on any of my photo safaris. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtX8OtFk8Qw

Full review of the new E-M10III by Dpreview: “changes are focused where it matters”

Share

That has been fast! Few days after the announcement Dpreview already published their full Olympus E-m10III review:

The E-M10 III is a minor update to the Mark II but the changes are focused where it matters. 16MP may seem a little old hat, given APS-C went to 24MP several years ago, but the Olympus becomes one of the only cameras in its class to offer 4K video capture and does so with excellent stabilization. It may not be the most impressive spec, on paper, but the E-M10 III is a powerful and likeable little camera, that offers the developing photographer plenty of room to grow.

Preorders:
Silver or Black E-M10III at GetOlympus, BHphoto, Adorama and Amazon. In Eu at WexUK and ParkUK.
E-M10III with kit lens at GetOlympus, BHphoto, Adorama and Amazon.
Special E-M10III superkit at Amazon and Adorama.
CS-51B Body Jacket for the E-M10III at BHphoto.

New E-M10III tests by Ming Thein and Dpreview

On top you can watch a new E-M10III 4K sample video shot by Dpreview.

Street photography with the Olympus E-M10 Mark III by Ming Thein:

If you are new to photography, a beginner stepping up to a system camera, the E-M10 Mark III will serve you well. It produces pleasing JPEGs and performs well even in some demanding conditions. On the other hand, if you’ve owned any Olympus Micro Four Thirds cameras from the past 2-3 years, then the next practical upgrade for you is probably the flagship – the E-M1 Mark II.
