OM Digital announces shortage of “PEN E-P7” and “OM-D E-M10 Mark IV”

Because of larger than expected demand OM Digital announced there is a shipment delay on the E-P7 and OM10IV:

• Thank you for using OM Digital Solutions products.
• We have received orders for mirrorless single-lens cameras “PEN E-P7” and “OM-D E-M10 Mark IV” that are significantly higher than planned, and delivery is taking longer.
• For customers who have already placed orders, we will deliver the products in sequence as soon as they are ready.
• We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, who are waiting for our products, and to everyone else involved.
• We will do our best to deliver the product as soon as possible, so we appreciate your understanding.

Yaotomi actually shared an idea why there is a product shortage:

I think the fundamentals are the same as those of Fuji and SIGMA.Difficulties in parts procurement, relative decline in Japan’s market share, and the weak yen lead to frequent difficult situations.
