RED35: Olympus in 2021, What to expect?

Happy New Year! First video of the year and I want to have a look at the NEW Olympus in 2021. Remember that they are now OM Digital Solutions! I am excited and looking forward to what they have for us this year, fingers crossed! In this video, I look back at the road map, together with recent news and reports, I predict what we should expect to see from Olympus in the near future. What do you think?

Dclife doubts Panasonic will announce a new G9 successor due to new strict marketing goals

Dclife collected the latest Panasonic statements and interviews and claims:

  • Panasonic now wants to achieve profitability in every segment including imaging
  • While the GH6 is confirmed to come in 2021 it’s likely that other models will not be updated
  • DClife guesses the G9 successor will be “axed” from the roadmap

Well this would be pity. With all that massive lens range it would be good to offer different kind of camera types.

DClife hopes JIP will launch the new E-M1IV and PEN-FII at the CP+ show to demonstrate their seriousness

Dclife analyzed the current JIP situation and hopes the new OM Digital company will announce the new E-M1IV and PEN-FII at the CP+ show to prove their point. There may be also one or more new Macro PRO lenses.

Don’t know if this is a realistic expectations. On the other hand they really need to build up trust as quick as it gets if they want people to buy their products and bet on a long term future.
