E-M1X vs E-M1III via camerasize

OM Digital is preparing the new product launch season for this autumn. The past weeks I have been told we can expect three things to happen:

1. New lenses (note: this happened indeed last week!)
2. Announcement of the new naming structure (there will be rebranding from OM-D E-M to OM 1D, OM 5D, OM 10D etc.)
3. Teaser for the new “wow” camera launch in early 2022.

I am still not sure if that Samsung-Olympus smartphone partnership will happen…

Just recently 7Artisans announced the 50mm f/0,95 MFT lens you can get now at Amazon US, Amazon DE, Amazon UK. And today the teased the launch of the 25mm f/0,95 lens:

Surprise! OM Digital released this new lens roadmap. Here are the two new lenses:

• Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 20mm F1.4 PRO
• Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0 PRO

And three more teased lenses with no specs:

• macro in the 100mm focal length range
• Two telephoto rooms in the 50-150mm lens range.

In Japan OM Digital conducted a survey. And I figured we can help them for free :)  These are the lenses OM Digital suggested to develop:

The camera body with the code “IM027” has been registered in Asia by OM Digital Solutions. The registration says it is equipped with Wi-Fi (2.4GHz / 5GHz) and Bluetooth.

I got no real details about this camera yet, all I have been told is that the “WOW” camera will be on market in early 2022. And it will not be a E-M1X successor. It will have more the size of a classic E-M1 body.

GH6 specs at BHphoto

A source told us this:

GH6 will be released Q1 2022
AND will include some sort of hybrid AF

I am sure Panasonic will share more GH6 specs this autumn but with the worldwide chip shortage it’s very likely you will get the camera in your hands by early 2022 only. I guess hybrid AF means we can expect to get both: phase and contrast detection AF!

This week Panasonic will have a new announcement day. But as far as I know we will only get a new 24mm f/1.8 L-mount lens. Expect no info about the GH6 yet. My guess is that new GH6 info will be spilled out this autumn at best.
