I got word from a trusted chinese dealer that the new ZYoptics 42,5mm f/1.2 Micro Four Thirds lens will start to ship as soon as they will finish all [shoplink 47208 ebay]50/0.95 E-mount[/shoplink] order shipments. The lens will likely ship by end of this year. You can see more pictures of the lens prototype (with the older brand name) at Tech Sina.

This is their second Micro Four Thirds lens after the [shoplink 37365 ebay]Mitakon 35mm f/0.95 (can be found here on eBay)[/shoplink].

Samyang will announce a new Micro Four Thirds lens at Photokina. It will be the 50mm f/1.5 lens. Main characteristic of the lens (like any Samyang lens) will be: low price but still high optical quality. I have no info yet whether tis lens will have autofocus or not (I guess it has not).

A highly trusted source confirmed that Panasonic will launch a new Micro Four Thirds camera within the next 4-6 weeks. No details are given yet. Stay tune don 43rumors!

An anonymous source shared the following info:

Olympus will launch a Silver E-M1 edition at Photokina. And there will be also a new firmware for the E-M1 that allows you to shoot 4K video (& get a lot of options during shooting videos).

The source is new so take it with a grain of salt. But it would be certainly a huge (and welcome) surprise if current E-M1 owners would get such a firmware update! Sounds almost to good to be true…

Our Japanese colleges from Digicameinfo just confirmed the rumor I posted a while ago: The new 40-150mm PRO lens (picture on top) will be announced very soon. Digicameinfo also added another info. A Black version of the current 12mm lens will be announced too. And it will cost just like the current Silver version.

My sources said the 40-150mm lens will cost about $1200-1300 and ship in early 2015.

The Japanese Camera.Itmedia site posted an interview with Olympus manager and confessed at the end of it that new PEN and OMD cameras are likely going to be announced soon. And we already knew that anyway don’t you? :)
