At the Photo & Imaging 2023 event in China Panasonic managers said that demand of 8K on digital cameras is very weak and therefore you should not expect 8K to be implemented any time soon. This likely means that the S1H and the GH6 successor will both NOT have 8K recording.
If you remember back in 2017 Panasonic promised to launch an 8K MFT camera by 2020. Well, we might have to wait til the second half od this decade before this might happen :(

I was at B and H the other day and saw item coming soon posted near the OM booth. They are close to the tough 6 and Em10. Tough 7 and OM 10 coming soon?
I believe there is a very good chance OM digital will announce those two cameras soon!

Trustworthy German blogger mentioned that a Panasonic GH7 might be out this year. He said it would be the only MFT camera coming out this year.
A firmware 1.6 for OMDS OM-1 and later a 2.0 with new functions could also come this year.
No idea who this blogger is…but I hope he is right :)
I got a super wild rumor (Thanks to the source!) claiming that the Panasonic G9II will be announced the the IFA in Berlin. I got no specs other than the rumor that this will be the first Panasonic MFT camera with phase detection autofocus.

Some Japanese stores marked the G9 as discontinued. I really do hope the rumors about a new G9II coming soon are true!
