End of next week Panasonic will announce the new GX8. And a trusted source unveiled the design of the camera is very close to the current fixed lens LX100 camera. And just like the LX100 the GX8 records 4K video too.

I am still working to get details about the Panasonic announcement. One source only added that 43rumors readers should expect something “big” to be announced on July 15-16. So there will be not “just” on new MFT lens. But something “more”!!!

I got some more info that Panasonic will announce a new MFT camera end of next week! And I guess we can safely say this will be the new Panasonic GX8 camera! I hope sources can send me some specs and details about the camera soon!

This means we will likely get that new stuff from Panasonic: New GX8, New FZ300 and a new telephoto MFT lens. Don’t know if the lens will be “really released” or if they will just display a prototype lens and updated roadmap.

We have been told by highly reliable sources that Panasonic will have a public announcement in mid July (around July 15-16-17). There will be a new MFT lens (likely a tele lens) and certainly one or event two new cameras. As you know Panasonic officially registered two new cameras: The GX8 and FZ300. I am yet not 100% sure if both will be announced on that same event. Should get some more info soon. Stay tuned!

I saw those specs on “a site” and I only wanted to make you clear it’s 100% fake! So don’t trust them. They say the GX7 successor name is GX100 and has those specs:

Few details other than it will be the LX100 of Interchangable lenses, have built in 5 axis stabilization, and from what I understand a brand new sensor.

Please not that Panasonic already officially registered the GX8 name. It’s not going to be called GX100 :)

A reliable source just shared some new info about the new ImageVision 4K Micro Four Thirds camera:

“The 4K Micro Four Thirds camera is called “Z Camera E1″ and will cost $699/PCS. Ready for shipping in July.”

  The rumored 8K video posted on Youtube which is likely to be fake.

Cinescopophilia reports about a new GH4 firmware hack that is supposed to be released in July. It’s supposed to allow 8k recording(!) on the Panasonic GH4.

Well, I am sure this is just a story made up by some guy. We will not get 8K on the GH4 :(
