Update: Panasonic V-LOG update is available for free. A user on REDDIT described the procedure.
Disclaimer: I don’t know if it really works or if that is an intentional move from Panasonic or not. And if it’s a mistake I hope Panasonic will find a way to fix this.

Mirrorlessrumors.com got a hint form a source saying that Sigma will announce a new 24mm f/2.8 ART lens soon. The lens will be available for Micro Four Thrids and Sony E-mount. There is yet no info on price and size of the lens. Would be nice if it woudl be really compact!

Yesterday I wrote how Zhongyi is about to release a new 25mm f/0.95 Micro Four Thirds lens. I now have been told by the developers that the price will be around $499. This is $300 less than the current price of the [shoplink 55477 ebay]Voigtlander Nokton 25mm lens (here on eBay)[/shoplink]. ANd the developers said optical quality will be higher (and compact size as you see much smaller).
As this is a very big investment from their site they asked me to ask you the following question:

Panasonic just announced the new Panasonic 25mm f/1.7 lens (and some slightly updated/modified other three lenses). I am not sure how many of you will really buy the new Panasonic prime as most of you already own the Olympus 25mm f/1.8 lens.
But now you will wonder…what’s coming next from Panasonic? Well it’s the Leica DG 100-400mm f/4-6.3 Power O.I.S. Asph.! We just got a whisper form a source saying the lens is scheduled for a Spring release. And that is certainly a much more exciting lens or not? So I am wondering…

I just got this:
I can confirm the firmware will be announced tomorrow for $99 at authorized resellers. It appears that it will be a physical box, not just a download (probably similar to what Sony has been doing with their [shoplink 55330 ebay]PXW-X70[/shoplink] recently).

Again, I do hope that rumor is false. But another anonymous source (therefore yet to take with a grain of salt) sent me this:
This is not a rumor, thats going to happens 1st of september. V-Log is going to be officially launched by Panasonic. People will need to pay for it but I don’t know how much.They will have online process and each firmware is gonna work only with a serial number camera body.
If that rumor turns out to be true than this epxlains also why Panasonic will launch a “GH4R” camera. This would be a more expensive GH4 camera with V-Log already included.

Digicameinfo got quite a strange and yet not 100% clear rumors. Panasonic will announce the “Panasonic GH4R“. This is basically a GH4 with V-LOG included. I don’t know what exactly that means. But I guess Panasonic will simply sell the current GH4 as GH4R to remark the new V-LOG features. I also don’t know if that means that current GH4 camera will have to pay some $$$ to get V-LOG. Let’s hope that’s not the case…
Panasonic is set to announce more info on the V-LOG update on September 1!
