One source contacted me yesterday to say that he heard the PEN-F will be announced on January at CES already along the new 300mm PRO lens. So far I heard Olympus has a press announcement on January 6th.

Our rumors where 100% correct! Olympus just registered the “PEN-F” camera in Taiwan. Like I told you a week ago the PEN-F has an integrated viewfinder and the camera will ship early Spring 2016 (probably March). The camera is designed to “honour” the [shoplink 56521 ebay]original PEN-F film camera (See them here)[/shoplink].

We know Olympus will announce the new 300mm PRO lens at CES (January 6th). And I suspect Panasonic will show us the final 100-400mm MFT lens specs and design. But so far I heard nothing about a possible Panasonic MFT camera announcement at CES. The GF 4K camera is more likely to be announced at CP+ by late February (or later).

It is still unconfirmed when Olympus will launch the PEN-F (CES or CP+???)

According to one of our sources the Olympus 300mm f/4.0 lens will be announced on January 6th. And it will ship in late February. Price tag is around $2,500.

Highly trusted sources confirmed Olympus will launch a new kind of PEN camera in early Spring. The camera is designed to “honour” the [shoplink 56521 ebay]original PEN-F (Click here)[/shoplink]. I am yet not sure about the name of the camera but it could really be named “PEN-F” as the film camera version!

I have no details on the camera specs yet but the integrated EVF is the key highlight of the camera.

I got more feedback from different sources that Olympus will indeed announce a new roadmap of f/1.2 prime lenses in early Spring. I have been told they will announce the specs of multiple(!) f/1.2 prime lenses. The lenses shipment will then be spread during the upcoming 12 months.
