Digitalrev seems to cannot wait to see the new E-M1II camera and is already accpeting preorders on their site (Click here). And this is not the only “ghost” preorder from Olympus. Also the yet non announced 30mm f/3.5 MFT macro lens recently appeared on sites like Macconnection, Neobits, Amazon.cn, Unitedoffice.

Olympus had(?) the plan to announce the new E-M1II at Photokina. But I heard shipment will be delayed by many months. This means I am no more sure if the announcement will really take place anyway at Photokina or if Olympus will decide to wait a couple of months.

I got an important update about the next Panasonic announcement. We will get a new MFT camera announcement by late August! I am yet not sure if there will be new lenses too…

And one more thing: I am yet not sure it is the GH5 we are going to get by end of August….

On Facebook Samyang launched a new teaser. It says:

“5 NEW Samyang Lenses will be released on every Monday for the next five weeks.”

We can expect some of those lenses to come as MFT mount versions…

I am getting first “whispers” about a Panasonic announcement in July. I am not sure about what it is yet…

I got some early specs info about the LX100 successor that will be announced at Photokina:

1. It will have the same sensor of the GX80 GX85.
2. But it will not have the same processor as the future GH5.
3. Rear screen will be like the GX80: Articulated and tactile.

P.S.: The Panasonic GH5 will have a complete new processor engine.

If you were expecting to get some kind of new magic sensor with the GH5 be aware…this is not going to happen. Another source confirmed the Panasonic GH5 will have a complete new processor engine and use the current 16MP sensor used by the GX80/85 camera. The camera definitely has the best image quality performance of all Panasonic cameras on market yet but it’s a result of a new very powerful processor engine while the sensor is 99% the same as the GX80/85.
