Those are the E-M1II prices in Australia. I am yet not sure if those are the 100% definitve prices. Also note that Australian prices are usually higher than US and EU prices. A pure currency conversion doens’t make sense. So let’s estimate the US/Euro price that way:

The Fuji X-T2 costs 2,299 AUS at CameraPro. This means the E-M1II price is 13% higher. So we can guess:

US price: X-T2 price at Amazon.com is $1,599. E-M1II price could be around $1799
Eu price: X-T2 price at Amazon.de is 1.699 Euro. E-M1II price could be around 1899 Euro.

As I said, the US and EU prices are just a guess. But it’s highly likely the E-M1II will be priced a bit above the Fuji X-T2. What are your thoughts on this?

Panasonic patented a new kind of Micro Four Thirds lens design aimed to give you a full manual control over aperture and focusing. The lens has a unique focus grip just like manual focusing Leica and Vogitlander lenses. This could become a new series of full manual focusing MFT lenses?

I got the following info via two sources: There might be a good chance that you will get your new Olympus E-M1II right before Christmas! Preorders should open soon (within 3-4 weeks) and the price is slightly above the E-M1. The E-M1 launch price was $1,399. I have no info about the final price but I expect the E-M1II to cost around $200-$300 more…

Olympus currently has a [shoplink 62479 ebay]1.4x teleconverter for MFT[/shoplink] only. But soon there could be a nice addition. Egami spotted a new Japanese Patent disclosing the design of a new 2.0x MC-20 MFT teleconverter. This will Doubles your Focal Length and a 300mm PRO lens suddenly because a 600mm lens with slower aperture.

A short update on the Panasonic GH5: Trusted sources confirmed the GH5 will have 5 axis on sensor stabilization.

I am wondering why Panasonic didn’t mention that at Photokina…

I am pretty sure these prices are not the official one. But 43photo liste the GH5 for $1,799 and the E-M1II for $1,499. Anyway, the E-M1II price listed at 42 is way lower than the one we found last week at Fotokonijnenberg.nl.

“One of Photokina backstage rumors/leaks is that main LSIs in Panasonic GH5 and new Olympus are very very close :-).

Both include dual cards support, but with only one being UHS-II.
Both support 422 10-bit video, but Olympus got LSI with agreement to restrict it to HDMI output.
Both cameras will have impressive burst performance.
LSI supports new sensor based 5-axis stabilization algorithms (it means that it has necessary outputs to all coils and things). Will be strange to not see it in flagman. Stabilization algorithms sharing was one of points in new agreement rounds (long time ago).
GH5 sensor will be custom.
Some quiet talks are also about special film like filters ala Fujifilm.

P.S. One of the talks is that new G80/85 shares almost same LSI with GH5 but restricted.”
