In US it’s still hard to get the FZ1000 but some of them are now in Stock at [shoplink 48012 ebay]Samys eBay (Click here)[/shoplink]. And the reason why it’s hard to get is because it’s a damn good camera! CameraLabs (Click here) just posted their FZ1000 review and do write:

Just to recap on some of the other great features the FZ1000 has to offer – 12fps continuous shooting, 1/4 speed 1080p video recording, built-in timelapse and stop motion shooting, 7-frame auto bracketing, fast DFD-assisted 49-area AF, and excellent wifi features. The only things it’s really missing for me are a touch-screen and a built-in ND filter, but there’s still loads of controls and of course the opportunity to mount an ND filter on the barrel if necessary; plus with an electronic shutter option at up to 1/16000, you’ll easily be able to deploy large apertures outdoors for stills.
Sony may have enjoyed a temporary lead in the premium superzoom / bridge market, but with the FZ1000, Panasonic has grabbed it back. The FZ1000 is one of the most exciting cameras of 2014 and arguably the classiest bridge camera to date which naturally qualifies it for a Cameralabs Highly Recommended award.

On the whole, I think the Olympus PEN E-PL7 is one truly capable camera. Yes it is not perfect, and it may not have significant improvement over E-M10, but in the PEN Lite series, it is one huge level up from E-PL5/E-PL6.

And here is an interesting info from the German Pen And Tell site:

The new BLS-50 battery (here at BH) has 5% more capacity than the previous batteries. The good news is that it can be used by all preivous PEN models too.

Photozone tested the 9mm lens-cap:

Honestly, it isn’t quite a bad as you might think. The center performance is actually pretty decent. The borders are Okayish whereas the corners are very soft. Lateral CAs are significant but not terrible either. There’s some vignetting but honestly this isn’t anything you’d complain about in a fisheye lens. Compared to conventional lenses, the contrast is somewhat reduced especially in the corners. However, on the positive side it is pretty resistant against flare which is rather surprising.

SLRgear tested the 14-42mm pancake zom:

The Olympus 14-42mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 EZ ED M.Zuiko Digital lens is a well-executed lens. It achieves what appears to be a goal for the smallest size possible, as well as adding in new functions (power zoom) and improving on its optical properties as well.
