Press release: M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 8mm f1.8 Fisheye PRO
Olympus Imaging Corporation (President: Haruo Ogawa) is pleased to announce the development of the M.Zuiko Digital ED 8mm f1.8 Fisheye PRO (35mm equivalent focal length: 16mm), a high-performance fisheye lens conforming to the Micro Four Thirds System standard, scheduled to go on sale in summer 2015.
This is the world’s first*1 dustproof and splashproof fisheye lens with a bright f1.8 aperture value. It is categorized in the M.Zuiko PRO series, a professional lens with high optical performance and reliable dustproof and splashproof construction, constantly providing high image quality under any conditions.
The dedicated underwater lens port is also under development. It will expand the shooting scenes of nature photography from underwater to the night sky.
