Olympus says they are considering to make a “bright super telephoto lens” and other super fast lenses.

The Swedish Magazine Fotosidan (google translation here) interviewed Setsuya Kataoka (General manager Olympus Imaging Corp). And there is some talk about the future Olympus products:

1) Right now Olympus is considering whether to develop a bright super telephoto lens, or a super-telephoto zoom with a little lower brightness.
2) When the pro series is getting full, it may be necessary to develop a bit more specialized or extraordinary lenses, such as lenses with ultra-high brightness.
3) No Tilt Shift lenses are coming
4) Working to update the IS for new astro-photography features.

Let’s go with the f/1.2 and f/1.0 prime lenses Oly! We already saw your patents on those ;)

David:I recently got my GH4 at Samys while I was in NYC, which was a great deal, and I only knew about them because of 43rumors.com. I send you this message because I need some help from the 43 community. I shot a wedding recently, something I hadn’t done before, and it was nominated for the Brazilian Wedding Awards. http://www.weddingawards.com.br/votacao/foto-video/trailer_do_casamento/david_arthur_barkan/8716/

Colby:  I just wanted to share this video I shot on the GH4 this winter in NYC, entirely at 60fps.  I shot everything in Full HD 200Mbps 60p mode and conformed in post, as opposed to using in camera VFR.  Downside was no ability to playback in slow motion internally, but the upside is less compression and footage that grades very well: www.vimeo.com/118384332

Joe: “Just wanted to share a collection of snowy images from this past month in upstate NY, all taken with the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 Pro lens.

Nate:Just wanted to share the short film we shot on the GH4 using the Pany 12-35 f2.8. Its the story of a race between a running man and a car on the streets of Bangkok during rush hour! https://vimeo.com/117649269

Daniel:I just posted the latest installment of The Lumix Diaries where I’ve highlighted a recent cheetah chase. It was shot with the Lumix GH4 and the new Olympus 40-150mm F/2.8 lens. For me this series of images has ended my concerns about AF speed issues with my Lumix GH4 cameras. This is proof positive that the GH4 can compete with ANY camera out there, at least in the world I shoot in. Hope you enjoy seeing how quick the GH4 really is.”

Hiko:Someone might be interested in my YouTube video (http://youtu.be/REnlXYn23fE) from the trip to Venice. This was shot on Panasonic LUMIX LX100 in 4K mounted on iFootage WildCat 2.
