Teh Frauenhofer institute published the full details of the future new 16Mp 3D stacked and Global shutterOlympus sensor (PDF download here).
It’s highly likely this could become the future new E-M1markII sensor!
In short these are the new sensor advantage:

  • No artifacts (no parasitic light)
  • Global Shutter (no rolling shutter artifacts)
  • High Image quality

Just let’s hope this tech is ready for the E-M1markII launch at Photokina 2016 :)

In Depth Follow-Up to our OMD EM5II video (The Camera Project).

The Panasonic 42,5mm f/1.7 is sharper and better in any way than the Olympus 45mm f/1,8 (Lenstip).
Olympus TOUGH TG860 review (CameraLabs).

Mike:I don’t know if you’ve seen, but Damian McGillicuddy (the Olympus UK Principal) has a load of new videos up on the EM-10 Mark II on his YouTube page.
Of particular interest to me are two features which, having now seen them in action, have sold me on buying a Mark II (so well done, “Big Dog”!).

He’s also got a blog post up with some pretty awesome test images showing the quality of the Mark II in pure photography. Got to say that I’m a bit in love with this new camera and I can’t wait till mine arrives!

Chris:I recently shot a short film about my travels to the world famous surfing spot: Teahupoo in French Polynesia.
All shot on the E-M1 and various lenses:
M.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 Pro
M.Zuiko 40-150mm f/2.8 Pro
M.Zuiko 75mm f/1.8
Panasonic LUMIX 8mm f/3.5 fisheye
all the underwater/ surf stuff was shot with the E-M1 inside the Olympus PT-EP11 housing.
Editing was done with Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 and grading with Adobe SpeedGrade CC 2015.
