Jose:I just want to share this music video i made with my Lumix GX7, it just came out last week although it was shot in April and finished in the end of May. I just want people to know that GX7 is a hell of a camera, in the latest news and rumors everyone is dissing this camera. Now i have a GH4 and sold my Canon camera, i took the decision to do that  after i compared the image quality between the Canon and the GX7. All the lights that were used probably cost around $650, we used Samyang lenses with a EF adapter with ISO’s between 200 and 800. Enjoy! https://vimeo.com/98438591

Julien: “Here’s a travel video for South America I filmed on a GH3 and graded with film convert and Osiris LUTs https://vimeo.com/100945600

Sebastian:  “I would like to share this video I made with the almost two year old Panasonic GH3 and 30+ year old Vivitar 28mm f2. https://vimeo.com/101176690

A personal important note…

For a series of “unexpected” events the last couple of months I spent much less time than usual on 43rumors. I had plenty of work to do on my real job and also some urgent private matters to solve. Long time 43rumors readers certainly noted that:

1) increased typos on titles and text. Main reason why this happens is because I mostly write articles in hurry with my iPhone which is set on German language and doesn’t autocorrect english text (it needs to be set on German for work reason).
2) absence from me (admin) from the daily comments.

I apologize to anyone for that decrease in “presence” and “quality” but this site is not my main work and in life it happens that sometimes urgent thing have to be solved first. The good news is that I am finally 100% back right in time for Photokina. I will now work harder on improving my text quality, rumors and comment response. Will also try to get rid of the many trolls on this site ;)

Thank you for your understanding!

Will Light Field cameras kill the current “classic” DSLR-Mirrorless?

Panasonic Light Field sensor Patent No. 20140078259. Light Field forum coloured the most important elements.

LIke you know Lytro created quite some buzz with their recent Lytro Illum Light Field Digital Camera (specs here on BHphoto). And we now from patents that Panasonic is working on such a Light Field Camera too (see patent on top for example).

In a new Interview at Thenextweb Lytro’s CEO Jason Rosenthal said that Light Field Cameras will eventually replace current system camera tech. If he is correct we really have to change our way of thinking and habits. It will be a huge change!

P.S.: Play with that image to learn in three seconds what a Ligh Field Camera can do:
