The coolest E-M1X Instagram pictures roundup!

The Olympus OM-D E-M1X is a fairly hefty camera but it is worth remembering that lenses also play a large role in the portability of a system. For example, inside our Peak Design 30L Everyday backpack, we were able to fit the new camera along with the 12-100mm f/4, 300mm f/4, 40-150mm f/2.8, 12-40mm f/2.8 and the E-M1 mark II with the battery grip attached. Pretty good, don't you think? ?? We’re happy to report that the Olympus OM-D E-M1X, with its updated continuous autofocus system, delivers similar results to its mirrorless pals, the Fujifilm X-T3 and Sony A7 III, when used for birds in flight. Out of the hundreds of images we took at our local red kite sanctuary, approximately 74% were keepers, or 91% if we include the ever-so–slightly soft images. We found that the best AF settings for this genre are 25 Group Target and C-AF Sensitivity +2. You can see a few sample images by swiping to the right! ? Which camera would you pick for birds in flight? ? . . . . . #camera #cameras #cameragear #olympusomd #olympusinspired #olympuscamera #olympusphotography #olympuskameras #microfourthirds #mirrorless #mirrorlesscamera #mirrorlessgeeks #mirrorlessrevolution #omdem1x #em1x #olympusem1x #olympusomdem1x #sonya7iii #sonyalphaclub #sonyalphagang #sonyalphauniverse #sonycamera #fujixt3 #fujifilmcamera #fujifilmxseries #fujifilm_x #fujixseries #fujifilmx #sonyshooter

Good things always come in threes, right? Well, that’s certainly the case with these Olympus OM-D siblings! Sitting above the OM-D E-M1 mark II and the original OM-D E-M1, we have the new OM-D E-M1X whose advanced array of features target photographers in search of a reliable all-rounder for sports, wildlife, still life, long exposures and more. ? Having used the new camera for just over a week now, we’ve had the time to put together a comparison between the E-M1X and the E-M1 mark II. You can find the link by visiting our bio. ? . . . . . #camera #cameras #camera? #cameragear #photogear #olympus #olympusomd #olympusuk #olympusinspired #olympuscamera #olympusphotography #olympuskameras #getolympus #olympus_ru #microfourthirds #microfournerds #mirrorless #mirrorlesscamera #mirrorlessgeeks #mirrorlessrevolution #omdem1 #olympusem1 #olympusomdem1 #em1markii #omdem1x #em1x #olympusem1x #olympusomdem1x #mirrorlessphotography

Olympus plans to add more “DEEP AI” features on the E-M1X

The russian webiste Kroupski interviewed Mr. Tosaka from Olympus. Here are a couple of answers we got:

Question: The objects list seems a bit limited (trains, planes…). Do you plan to add some extra types of objects? Is that possible?
Olympus:  Although we cannot give details, there are plans to add more subjects via a firmware upgrade.

Question: As far as I understand, the E-M1X is not replacing the E-M1 II, it just starts another line of professional cameras? And the “ordinary” E-M1 line will continue, correct?
Olympus: Both E-M1 Mark II and E-M1X are positioned as professional models. We will continue with the current line-Up strategy with successor models.

Question: What can we expect earlier – E-M5 III or E-M1 III?
Olympus:  Although we cannot clearly tell which model comes first, please look forward to it.
