Martin: ” I just released this music video for Niklas Petri’s song ”A Life I Care About” which was shot mostly with the GH4 and DIY anamorphic lens setup using a vintage 60’s Ricoh Auto Rikenon 50mm f/2 taking lens and the Sankor 16C 2X projection lens. For the anamorphic shots I used Atomos Shogun to record 10-bit V-Log, and there are also some night timelapses shot with the GX8 and Leica 15mm f/1.7 at insanely high ISO’s. For the anamorphic walking shots I used the DJI Ronin-M. The purpose of the music video and song is to raise global awareness about Addison’s Disease, a rare and life-threatening medical condition that can affect anyone, in any age group. But the disease is very often mis-diagnosed and knowledge is No.1 key to survival! We sincerely hope for people to be moved by this and help us by simply spreading this on social media. :) https://vimeo.com/160627653
Camera gear used: GH4 (with V-Log and without), GX8, Leica 15mm, Lumix 35-100/2.8, Lumix 12-35/2.8, FZ300

Panasonic-Leica 100-400mm lens will ship on April 30. New test by Imaging Resource.

Bildschirmfoto 2016-04-01 um 20.54.54

If you are waiting to get the Leica 100-400mm lens well…you have to wait longer than expected! The lens will ship on April 30 only according to BHphoto (Click here).

Imaging Resource tested the lens and writes:

I shot everything in this batch handheld, as I wanted to really push the limits to see how well the I.S. would hold up in the real world. I have fairly steady hands, though not rock-solid like our senior lens technician Rob Murray, so my results are likely in the middle ground for average hand-shake. I found the I.S. to be remarkably effective though, and have a shot at 1/80s below that’s handheld at 448mm eq. It was dusk, so at ISO 3200 there is a trace of noise, but without I.S. it’s unlikely I could have achieved this shot handheld without cranking the ISO much higher and incurring a bit too much noise.
