35-100mm X in Stock at Samys and Amazon. Super Gold Box deal on the Panasonic LX5

Samys (Click here) and Amazon (via Samy) are finally having a bunch of Panasonic 35-100mm X lenses in Stock! In Europe this lens is already shipping via Technikdirekt Germany. Also the E-PM2 is in Stock at Samys (Click here).

And as you know the Olympus XZ-1 is the most sold digital camera at Amazon (Click here). That may be the reason why Panasonic allowed a Gold Box deal on the LX5 which now sells for $249 at Amazon (Click here). Full list of todays Gold Box deal can be seen here.

Wish the GH3 was in stock.. Mines be on pre-order since the day pre-orders became available..

  • Ryan

the gold box deal is on the lx5 not lx7

It would be great if Panasonic offer a $500 savings for a package price for a GH3 with a 12-35mm and the 35-100mm f/2.8.

    How about it Panasonic?

Even better if they offered it at £1,500 off! Dream on, I reckon Panny can sell all they can make of the GH3 and X lenses.

Given that Panasonic just forecast a $9.6 billion loss for the year and their stock price fell 19% yesterday, let’s hope they can sell as many X lenses and GH3 as they can make.

Absolutely not. All the “X lenses” are in stock all the time, and except the just released 35-100, are discounted (which is not surprising, how insanely overpriced they are to begin with).

ahhhhhh!!!!1 frikkin bought one…..yikes. I suppose if I get fired from my job I can probably resell this at the same price I bought i for…

  • cj

Got mine from Norman Camera. It was just deliverd to my home but ofcourse i wont be able to play with it till tonight.

Samys in L.A. is amazing. They have van delivery service for free. I ordered this lens this morning and it’s sitting on my desk. Can anyone else tell me what their lens looks like? Mine has the glossy, purple tint that the pre-production models had which I thought were changed to pure black for the official release.

“Finally”? It’s not like at this price it is going to be a hot seller. A small bunch of desperate people will buy it for full price, after that it will quickly go down a couple hundreds just like the 12-35.

  • To anyone thinking about this lens.. go for it! Having a constant 2.8 is such a great step up for those of us used to shooting on the 14-140 f/4. Panny did great on this one. If only they could give the same treatment to the 14-140!

Olympus XZ-1 is the most sold digital camera at Amazon? I don’t see any mention of any Olympus camera on that page at all. What’s up?
