US deal: GX1+X lens kit first time in Stock at BHphoto!

4 months ago |I agree Lumix, those are definitely the two lenses that this camera should have as kit lenses. (or maybe the Pany/Leica 25mm f/1.4 if they wanted to go all the way).
The X zoom is cute and compact…but it is the least optically astute of all of Pany’s kit zooms. Form-wise it works well with the GX1 body design..but not from an image-quality standpoint.

4 months ago |I would say that is good news for US potential customers wanting the GX1. Already in Japan this black GX1 w X lens is the 8th best selling model among all ILS including DSLRs. In the US the 5 GX1 models are all in the top 60 among DSLRs sold. This availability for US indicates that production of the X lens has increased and the body only open availability is good for those preferring the 20/1.7 or 25/1.7 lens instead or the coming fast X zooms.
I expect when the real OM-D arrives in a couple of weeks it will be larger than the GX1 is now and maybe not much different from the G3 other than having IBIS, Oly processing, a different body with more wheels, and wished for better compatability or AF with older 43 lenses?
