SLRmagic will resume the Noktor lens production (and Nokton next production run in June)

Share

A small update about the Noktor resurrection. SLRmagic will resume the production of the lens. Apparently they will keep the same design. But I do hope they can lower the price! $799 is really to much for a cheap quality lens even if it has an f/0.95 aperture. P.S.: There is currently one Noktor lens for sale on eBay (Click here).

Now let’s talk about one of the hotseller inside the Micro Four Thirds world the Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95. Camerquest said that the next prodcution run will hit the north american market in June. Nice to see the lens is so highly requested. We want more from them Voigtländer! In Europe it’s much easier to find the lens in Stock: Foto Mundus, infoto2, infoto2, eu-shphoto, deutscher-digitalhandel (ships worldwide!).

Is the previous “discontinue” another marketing move?

  • Jim

i think noktor was bought out.hope we see some lenses this time around

  • The Nokton 25 deserves all the superlatives it gets. I can’t believe how good it is (for my purposes). Well worth the wait.

can anyone borrow me a nokton 25 for a shoot? 😉
I will lend you my nokton 50 1.1 as a fair exchange 🙂

If you are headed in this direction…why wouldn’t you just pony up the cash and buy the Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95?
Maybe it is a video thing???? Or the 50mm focal length???? I don’t shoot video so I may be missing something here.

Admin, could you not juxtapose Noktor and Nokton, please? Presumably Noktor was so named partly for its similarity to Nokton, and I think talking about these two very different quality companies might lead to some people confusing the two. Don’t do Noktor’s marketing for them!:-)

Fine story as long as we understand that “production” means changing the mount and laser engraving their name on it, not lens-grinding.

  • TC

well, production of the 25/095 is also putting the lens and barrel and mount in one piece. doesnt cosina make the lens? it doesnt make the nokton much beter…as long as i get an assembled lens im happy

  • Jim

+1 i just want lenses! dont really care about the process…less talking and more production please. we pay and they make. fair deal
